40 Boost-supported businesses among 89 finalists at BIBAs 2024

A total of 40 Lancashire businesses who have received support from Boost; Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, are among 89 finalists shortlisted at this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs).

The BIBAs, which is organised by the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, shines a light on Lancashire businesses across 20 categories.

This year is the 16th annual awards and is headline sponsored by Lancashire County Council.

Hundreds of Lancashire businesses apply for the awards each year and the winners are chosen through a multi-stage judging process.

Among the finalists who have received Boost support is Fleetwood-based ductwork manufacturer EcoDuct, which has been shortlisted across three categories: ‘Low Carbon Business of the Year’, ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ and ‘Innovative Business of the Year’.

The company approached Boost for help in 2022 and received support from several services including the Business Advice Service. It has since moved from its old factory in Blackpool to a new space in Fleetwood to increase capacity.

Clitheroe-based specialist business podcast agency Voice It, which is shortlisted in ‘Skills Provider of the Year’, ‘New Business of the Year’ and ‘Digital and Marketing Business of the Year’ has received support through Boost’s Flying Start and Business Advice Service over the past two years while St Annes based Clifton Homecare, shortlisted for ‘Employer of the Year’ also received Boost support in 2023.
