Cast your vote now for Lancashire Artist of the Year 2024
Voting to determine who will be crowned Lancashire Artist of the Year 2024 has now opened.
Our panel of judges, which included Preston artist Norman Long, have now picked their favourite artworks from each season to create a shortlist of 32, eight for each season.
From today (Monday 15 July), the public can vote for their favourite artwork from the shortlist.
The online vote will remain open until 11.59pm on Monday 5 August 2024.
The 12 winning entries will feature in our Lancashire Artist of the Year 2025 calendar, to be sold in all Lancashire libraries, with the proceeds going towards activities to support care leavers in Lancashire.
The artwork with the most votes will become the overall winner of the competition and feature on the front cover of the 2025 calendar.
The artist who created it will be named Lancashire Artist of the Year 2024.
County Councillor Peter Buckley, cabinet member for Community and Cultural services at Lancashire County Council, said:
"Thank you to everyone who took part in this year's competition.
"We've received some wonderful entries once again and our judges have had the difficult job of narrowing them down to a final shortlist.
"It's now down to the public to cast their vote and decide who will be crowned Lancashire Artist of the Year 2024.
"The artworks with the most votes will feature in our 2025 calendar, with all of the proceeds going to supporting Lancashire Care Leavers."
