Festive fun at Lancashire's Family Hubs
As Christmas draws closer, children, young people and families have been enjoying a host of festive fun at Family Hubs across Lancashire.
Open to everyone, the Lancashire Family Hubs Network offer advice and support from the NHS, schools, police and the voluntary, charitable and faith sectors on a range of needs, from midwifery and mental health to groups for expectant parents and support for young people.
Services are open to children and young people from birth to 19, or 25 for children with special needs and disabilities (SEND), as well as parents, carers and the wider family.
In the run up to Christmas, our Family Hubs have been putting on a range of Christmas activities for children, young people and families to enjoy.
At the West Paddock family hub in South Ribble, a Christmas Party was held for children aged 5-11, while children in Hyndburn enjoyed snacks with Santa at The Park Family Hub.

The Maden Family Hub in Rossendale is putting on lots of Christmas activities this week, with a 'party' running theme running throughout the week.
At the West Lancashire Family Hub in Skelmersdale, children attending the Development Matters group were visited by a special guest this week – the hub's official mascot, Hugh the bear. Parents and carers also got the chance to speak to a local NHS paediatrician, who dropped by to give advice about bronchitis in children.
County Councillor Cosima Towneley, cabinet member for Children and Families at Lancashire County Council, said: "Our Family Hubs are a superb resource that offer a range of services under one roof to effectively operate as a one-stop shop for children, young people and families across Lancashire.
"These services are open to everyone and offer support for all stages of family life and this month's seen lots of festive fun in the run up to Christmas for our families to enjoy.
"We have big plans for 2024 so I would encourage families to pop by their local Family Hub this week or in the New Year to see what support is available."
