Final call for Pride in Lancashire Awards nominations

People across Lancashire are being urged to submit their nominations for the Pride in Lancashire Awards before entries close at noon on Friday 11 September.

The awards celebrate the individuals, groups, businesses and organisations who go above and beyond to make a difference in their communities, helping to make Lancashire a better place to live, work and visit.

Whether it's a young person leading change, a local project helping people thrive, or organisations working together to tackle challenges, residents are encouraged to put forward the people and initiatives that deserve recognition.

Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on Lancashire Day, 27 November.

County Councillor Ella Worthington, cabinet member for Civic Pride, said:

"Every community has people who go above and beyond for others, often without expecting any recognition.

"We've received some fantastic nominations from across Lancashire, highlighting the incredible people, groups and organisations making a real difference in communities across the county.

"As we approach the nomination deadline, we're particularly keen to hear about young people making a real difference and the partnerships that are helping to bring people together and deliver positive change.

"If you know someone, a group or an organisation that deserves recognition, now is the time to nominate them."

The Pride in Lancashire Awards form part of the Civic Pride action plan, which focuses on practical action and community participation. It recognises that small, everyday improvements can make a big difference to how people feel about their local area. This cost neutral initiative focuses on supporting and celebrating the people and communities that make Lancashire special and building pride in the places we live.

The awards are supported by sponsors Multevo and Eric Wright, whose backing is helping to recognise and celebrate the people, groups and organisations making a positive difference across Lancashire.
