Haslingden Household Waste Recycling Centre will open seven days a week

Haslingden Household Waste Recycling Centre is set to open seven days a week from Thursday, June 1.

Residents will be able to recycle every day of the week after a recent review by Lancashire County Council.

Cllr Shaun Turner, Cabinet Member for Environment and Climate Change said: "We are pleased to be able to open the site every single day from June.

"This will help local residents to make a difference to the environment on any day that is easiest for them.

"At Haslingden, we recycle and reuse a wide variety of items, including bric-a-brac, cardboard, glass, garden waste and cans. We also take items you might not expect – fridges and freezers, ovens, gas bottles, household and car batteries, printer cartridges and electrical items including TVs.

"Making a long-lasting difference to the environment is at the heart of everything that we do and this is another step in the right direction for Lancashire.

"For a full list of what you can recycle and donate for reuse at Haslingden, go to Haslingden - Lancashire County Council."
