Lancashire County Council statement on Hoghton rail incident
Lancashire County Council has issued a statement following a serious incident at a level crossing in Hoghton this morning (Thursday, 25 June).
County Councillor Stephen Atkinson, Leader of Lancashire County Council, said:
“This is a truly heartbreaking incident, and I want to express my deepest condolences to the family, friends and all those affected by the loss of life following this morning’s collision in Hoghton.
"Our thoughts are with the child who remains in a life-threatening condition, and with everyone impacted by this tragic event.
"I would ask that people respect the family’s privacy at this incredibly difficult time.”
