Local Government Reorganisation In Lancashire Paused for Review

The Government has announced a review of its local government reorganisation programme to make sure the process is robust, legally sound and aligned with its priorities.

As part of this review, the reorganisation proposals affecting Lancashire will be paused while further work is carried out.

The Government has also confirmed that local elections in May 2027 will go ahead on existing council boundaries.
