Statement on Morgan and Morecambe offshore wind farm transmission decision
Lancashire County Council has responded following the Government's decision to grant development consent for the Morgan and Morecambe Offshore Wind Farms Transmission Assets project.
Councillor Joshua Roberts, cabinet member for Rural Affairs, Environment and Communities at Lancashire County Council, said:
"We are disappointed that the alternative connection option put forward by Lancashire County Council, Fylde Council and Wyre Council has not been taken forward.
"We will continue to work with our partners to ensure Lancashire's interests are represented as the project progresses."
