Transforming travel in Lancashire and increasing Lancashire's economic potential
People in Lancashire are asked for their views on the draft Local Transport Plan (LTP) Implementation Plan, which sets out how we will improve travel and transport across the county up to 2030.
Produced by the Lancashire Combined County Authority (LCCA), these plans explain how transport improvements could be delivered locally over the next four years.
The LTP covers the whole county area - including Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackpool Council, Lancashire County Council and all 12 districts.
The plan builds on last year’s Local Transport Plan Coire Strategy consultation, where residents, businesses, visitors and commuters shared their priorities for the future of transport.
The latest consultation will help identify which improvements matter most to local communities.
People are encouraged to take part in the six-week consultation, which is now live and closes on Tuesday 30 June 2026. You can view it here: https://www.lancashire-cca.gov.uk/have-your-say
Councillor Phil Riley, Chair of the Lancashire Combined County Authority’s Transport Advisory Board, said:
“This is an important opportunity for residents to influence how transport develops across Lancashire.
“Better transport is key to supporting jobs, improving health and making our towns and neighbourhoods more accessible and attractive.
“We want to better understand people’s everyday journeys and the challenges they face, so we can focus on the improvements that will make the biggest difference.”
